Rust Wipe Cycles & Server Management

Rust server success heavily depends on predictable wipe schedules. The official forced wipe occurs on the first Thursday of every month at 19:00 UTC.

Maximizing Wipe Day Player Retention

  • Announce wipe schedules at least 72 hours in advance via your server page and Discord.
  • Choose balanced map sizes (3500 to 4250) to optimize monument distribution and PvP roaming density.
  • Pre-generate navigational mesh (nav_disable false; nav_grid 1) before going live to eliminate first-hour CPU spikes.
Promote your Rust wipe on ServerList101 to capture high wipe-day player traffic.
